A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

Last week we did a scavenger hunt at Walmart, Petco, Target, Party City, and UMass Dartmouth. There were 3 teams. Had to take pictures of everyone on the team doing the things on the list, such as dressing up in sports team items at Party City, pretending to study at the library in UMass Dartmouth, singing a Frozen song with a random person at UMass, talking whale to Dory and Nemo at Petco, highfiving Target workers, and riding a bike down an aisle at Target. We also had to ask for free things that the stores could give us.

CHRISTMAS IS IN 13 DAYS!!!!!!
So exciting! What is your favorite part of Christmas?
I love classic Christmas movies, baking Christmas cookies, and of course hearing the story of our Saviors birth. Whether on the radio or a TV special like Charlie Brown, the story of Jesus’ birth gets a lot of exposure in our culture during this time of year.
All of this exposure reminds me of this verse:
Romans 1:19-20
19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
God wants the message of His saving grace and love available for everyone to hear it. And we see this often through nature, acts of kindness, and mercy, but also through popular culture.
A lot of people during the Holidays are able to hear, in one way or another, about the birth of Jesus.
But here is the big difference… it usually stops there. Think about how much exposure Jesus gets in popular culture during Easter? Not much. We don’t have radio stations playing music about Jesus’ death and resurrection. We don’t have many TV specials that quote scripture to us (no offense to Charlton Heston and his movie The Ten Commandments which interestingly enough is is one of the most financially successful films ever made and is broadcasted faithfully annually on the ABC network since 1973.)![]()
So we have an open door to really share the Gospel message through the story of Jesus’ birth during the Christmas season.
But don’t let that message just be heard. Hearing the Gospel message and believing the Gospel message are different. One involves your head and one your heart. And when the message reaches your heart, accepting faith through Christ alone and allowing His life to be lived out through yours becomes more than just a story.

So what impact does the Christmas story have on your life?
Is it part of the traditions of Christmas?
Is it an inspiring story?
Or is it a life changing event that took place many years ago that totally changed the trajectory of billions of peoples lives forever more.
What impact does the Christmas story have on your life and have you took the time this season to share that story with the people you love?
You have an opportunity this Christmas to really share the greatest gift of all. So be inspired like my friend, Buddy the Elf, whose passion and enthusiasm go hand in hand with his knowledge and conviction.
But unlike Buddy, lets shift the focus of Santa to the amazing and inspiring event that took place long ago in that little town of Bethlehem!
Love the story of Christmas. And let that story transform your life and the lives of those around you!
1 John 4: 7-21
God’s Love and Ours
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
WOL Superbowl and more…
Hey everyone!
So much to let you know!!! What’s in this blog: Superbowl update, Monadnock info, Grace Card Movie, Youth Net Event on Dec 28th info, and thanksgiving reflections 🙂 Let’s get started!

I will enter his gates with
thanksgiving in my heart
I will enter his courts with praise
I will say this is the day that the
Lord has made
I will rejoice for he has made me glad
What are you glad about? What in your life can you praise God for during this season of thankfulness? Take time to really get alone with God and thank Him for the things He has done and will do in your life!
We have sooooooooo much to be thankful for. Although it can be easier to dwell on the negative and difficult things in our lives, I challenge you this week to take the time to encourage the people in your life that you are thankful for. Do something for someone else. And come to the Lord with thanksgiving in your heart!
Dec 28th we will have a open mic night for several youth groups to come together and
share their talents and gifts God has given them! Can you sing? Dance? Drum? Act?
play an instrument? Sign up sheet at youth group for all interested!
There will also be an awesome speaker and band that night and of course delicious snacks!
Not the same event but this is the speaker who will be sharing!
This past weekend we attended WOL Superbowl! An all night event that consists of a Providence Bruins hockey game (Final score was 1-0 Bruins), ice games and prizes, open gym where an intense game of dodge ball took place, and a very late night game of bowling!
